Several mornings a week the first thing I say is “Early to bed tonight…”. Then half ten comes and I think, right time for bed but first I’ll just have a week look at my social media. 1 hour 43 minutes later my brain is wired and it’s almost midnight! So, I end up tossing and turning in bed for another hour, and the cycle continues. I know a good nights sleep makes life so much happier and easier but I find it really hard to get to bed earlier. I think a lot of the problem is that I feel like the evening is my time, once the kids are in bed, to do a few things I enjoy. Logically though I know that an extra hours sleep is so much more beneficial to me than an hour’s scrolling.
It’s time to do something about it and invest in a better nights sleep to see if it makes for a healthier, less frazzled me. I found the Heath Storylines app really useful when I did my meditation challenge so I’m going to add another Healthy Routine Builder reminder. My aim is to be in bed by 11 pm, I’ll read for a little while then get my head down.
If you’d like to join me in the challenge sign up free at My Health Storylines then add the handy app on your phone.
